Financial Cryptography and Data Security 2025
Twenty-Ninth International Conference
14–18 April 2025
Hotel Shigira Mirage
Miyakojima, Japan
Airports
Miyakojima has two airports: Miyako (IATA: MMY) and Shimojishima (IATA: SHI). There are daily flights arriving at Miyako Airport (MMY) from various locations in Japan, including Haneda (Tokyo, HND), Kansai (Osaka, KIX), and Nagoya (NGO). From Naha (OKA), there are a total of 14 shuttle flights each day. Shimojishima Airport (SHI) is an international airport where flights from Seoul (ICN) arrive, as well as domestic LCC flights from Haneda, Naha and Kobe.
From outside Japan, you might want to fly into Haneda, Naha or Kansai and take a domestic flight to Miyako Airport. If your itinerary to Miyakojima is expensive, consider purchasing a ticket to KIX, OKA or HND, and a separate ticket from there to Miyako (MMY) or Shimojishima (SHI), although this might require claiming and re-checking your luggage at the transit airport. Note that many international flights to Tokyo arrive at Narita airport (NRT), which would necessitate a change of airports, so Osaka (KIX) or might be a better transit option.
Airport transfers
The resort provides directions for getting to the venue. For FC25 participants, they offer free shuttle bus service from Miyako Airport during the hours 10:00–17:30. NEW: For participants arriving from Korea at Shimojishima Airport with Jin Air, they will also offer a free shuttle that leaves the airport around noon (beginning April 2025). Otherwise, from Shimojishima Airport, there is a limousine bus service to the venue (a 60–75 minute ride) for the price of 1200 yen. At both airports, there is a taxi stand outside. It is a 15 minute taxi ride from Miyako Airport and a 50 minute taxi ride from Shimojishima Airport to the venue.
At Miyako Airport there is a service counter for Shigira Resort. If you inform them that you are attending FC25, they will guide you to the next shuttle (when the counter is closed, you will need to take a taxi). At Shimojishima Airport, personnel from Shigira Resort will be waiting at the exit (by signage for the resort) and can show you the way to the shuttle bus that leaves the airport around noon.
Note that the Miyakojima TriAthlon on Sunday, April 20th could disrupt local transportation, so you might want to avoid traveling on that day.
Courtesy Bus
The resort is arranging a courtesy bus with service between the various hotels of the resort where participants are staying and the conference venue, as well as the social activities. Details will be posted and updated here.
